Interest rate shall be accrued on daily balances maintained in Super Saver Account and shall be credited to the account monthly. The account can be opened with a minimum deposit of RO 100.

At National Bank of Oman, we believe that saving should be made simple for everyone, including minors. Whether you’re Omani or an expatriate, you can open a National Bank of Oman Savings account.

  • An initial opening balance of OMR 100 is required.
  • A minimum average monthly balance of OMR 100 must be maintained.​

To complete the account opening process, please visit a National Bank of Oman branch near you, with your national ID Card/Passport and the rest will be taken care of by your Relationship Manager at the bank:

Required Documents

  1. National ID Card for Omanis / Valid passport and visa for expatriates.
Your Relationship Manager will help you complete the following forms:​
  1. Account Opening Form
  2. Know Your Customer’ (KYC) Form, which is a standard international best practice requirement. It includes information about your financial planning goals.​
  3. Specimen Signature (SS) card

  1. An interest rate of 0.5% per annum shall be paid on the Super Saver Account.
  2. Interest shall be accrued on the daily balance maintained in the Super Saver Account and shall be credited monthly.
  3. In case of any withdrawal during the month, either from the branch counter, ATM or POS machines, the customer will not be eligible for any interest payment on the balance for that month.
  4. The account can be opened with a minimum deposit of OMR 100.
  5. The bank will issue a Debit Card to new customers. If the customer already has a National Bank of Oman Debit Card, the Super Saver Account shall be linked to the existing card.
  6. The Bank reserves the right to amend interest rates at its sole discretion and will notify the customer in writing one (1) month prior to the implementation of any rate change. Such notifications will be published in leading local newspapers.
  7. The Bank has the right to offset any balances in any of the customer’s account(s) against any liabilities of the customer to the Bank whether such liabilities are contingent, primary, collateral, joint or several.
  8. The above special terms and conditions governing Super Saver Account are in addition to the general terms and conditions governing Savings Accounts as specified in the account opening form.
